What is it?
Spend some time researching which resources would be most useful to your target customers, rather than assuming. Once you have some ideas, why not ask your existing customers for their feedback? It can be helpful to remind them that you’re not precious about the idea and are open to all feedback, no matter how negative.
Once you’ve determined what type of content you’ll be producing or curating, start building a library of that content.Lastly, you can create a quick landing page where it can live. You may wish to gate the library, requiring users to input their email addresses to gain access - or you could even explore packaging it up as a standalone product that you sell.
Why this works
Providing a library of content and resources can help emphasise your subject matter expertise, which can make you appear more knowledgeable to potential customers. Providing something for free can also build reciprocity among your potential customers.
Things to consider
If you’re capturing user information, clearly outline what it’ll be used for, and offer an opt-out.Is this the kind of thing that can get outdated quickly? If so, commit to spending a few hours every month keeping the content fresh and adding new resources as required.
