A Webflow-native design system for Sky: build faster, stay on brand

Sky
Project overview
Sky partnered with MakeBuild to create a Webflow-native design system for their Customer Service Group, helping internal teams build and maintain microsites faster, while staying on brand.
We worked closely with Sky’s developers to bring their existing Figma and React design system into Webflow, building core layouts, typography scales, spacing and media elements as reusable components. This removed the need for the Sky team to recreate the same foundations on every project and made day-to-day builds much easier to manage.
Rather than locking teams into rigid templates, the system was designed to be flexible and easy to work with. The result is a Webflow component library that lets Sky’s developers launch microsites more quickly, reduce repetition, and keep everything consistent as their internal content continues to grow.
“They quickly understood our team's vibe and made the project exciting, even when it wasn't the most thrilling task... Their ability to balance understanding Sky's needs while bringing fresh perspectives was brilliant. The team was super flexible and amenable, making the collaboration fab. I appreciated the strong representation from their team on calls, which made it feel like a true team effort. MakeBuild is great, and I highly recommend them!”
“Right from day one they listened closely, understood our challenges and what we were trying to do, and their expertise on Webflow was under no doubt. With well-defined timelines and deliverables fully documented, we had clarity right the way through the design process with all our requirements met. On top of that, the MakeBuild guys are awesome people who made our problems go away with ease. I wouldn’t hesitate to work with MakeBuild again, so much so we already have them booked for the next project.”
